Former PM recommends for empanelment

Empanelment of an IAS Officer at the Secretary level seems to have bridged the gap between political rivals at the national level. Keeping political rivalry aside, a former Prime Minister has requested Atal Behari Vajpayee for empanelment of a 1966 batch IAS Officer to the Secretary level.

Savitri Konadi is being tipped for the post of ambassador in United Nations. She is currently posted in Geneva.

National policy on steel is under formulation in the Government of India.No definite time-frame can be indicated for its finalisation at this stage.

Shiv Basant to return

Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs Shiv Basant is returning to the parent Jharkhand cadre. Tenure of 1974 batch IAS Officer has ended on August 18.

CVC and IPS Officers

The Central Vigilance Commission has advised to the concerned state Governments for launching criminal proceedings against about a dozen IPS Officers.Names of the officers are:- O T Minz, R C Khan, R H Das, M M Chitle, R Anil Kumar,A K Jain, Gurdayal Singh, G Veerraghavan,E Hariharan,R C Khan and Ajit Dutt.

OSD's post to be abolished

Post of OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat is being abolished. There has been no posting after the retirement of 1966 batch IPS Officer Sunder Rajan in June last.

Barik couple joins Chhatisgarh cadre

1997 batch IAS Officer of the Manipur-Tripura cadre Niharika Barik has joined the Chhatisgarh cadre. MT cadre of her husband who is an IPS Officer has also been changed.
