Too many civil servants have created a mess, old timers say.A retired civil servant in his nineties remarked "There was a time when a total of 102 ICS Officers used to run the country, but now even hundreds of IAS Officers or may be thousands, are not able to deliver the things properly.They have rather created a mess". Prakash Gopichand Ramrakhiani has joined the Congress Party. Ramrakhiani is 1964 batch retired IAS Officer of Gujrat cadre.

Ramnivas to join ONGC!

Ram Nivas has been appointed Assistant Executive Director (Security ) in the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC). Ram Nivas who is 1982 batch IPS Officer of Chhatisgarh cadre is currently IG Raipur Zone.

Mandloi and Srinivas promoted as DDG DD

Prasar Bharti has promoted L D Mandloi and N G Srinivas as Deputy Director General Door Darshan. Only two officers have been promoted as DDG in Door Darshan. While Mandloi will be posted in the Directorate, Srinivas in the Mandi House.

Banerjee to be Chairman GAIL

Finally the Government has decided to appoint Prashant Banerjee as the new Chairman cum Managing Director of Gas Authority of India (GAIL). He is currently Executive Director Western Region Indian Oil Corporation.Appointment orders of Banerjee are likely to be issued next week.

Additional Secretary Banking S K Purkayastha has been nominated as a Director of ICICI Ltd.He has replaced Outgoing Secretary Banking Devi Dayal.

The University Grants Commission is in a mood to derecognise three universities in Bihar.B N Mandal,Veer Kunwar Singh and J P Universities are the targets.

S S Shukla IG Sagar Zone has been appointed IG Gwalior Zone.IG CID S S Lal will be IG Sagar Zone. IG Gwalior Zone N K Tripathi has been shifted to the Police Training College Indore. Rajiv Tandan will be new SP Gwalior. Shekhar Chanchal has been made SP Shivpuri. A Manglam will replace Rajiv Tandan in Seventh Battalian.

M S Jaffer Sait and N Elangovan have been appointed DIG Armed Police and DIG Vigilance respectively.Sandeep Rai Rathore has been shifted to Coastal Security Group Chennai. S Bhaskaran will join the PHQ.P Sakthivelu will be SP city traffic .
