Mallick to be IG BSF

Anil Kumar Mallick is being appointed IG in the Border Security Force.He is 1979 batch IPS Officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. His appointment orders are expected to be issued soon.

Term of Anita Das extended

Anita Das is going to continue as National Expert UNIDO for another one year. 1972 batch IAS Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre Anita Das had joined the UNIDO last year.

Retired IPS Officer joins Samta Party


R C Dimri a retired IPS Officer has joined the Samta Party in Gujrat.He retired as an IGP. Only recently a retired 1964 batch IAS Officer Ramrakhiani had joined the Congress.

Ten new DDG in Akashwani

Prasar Bharti has promoted ten officers to the rank of Deputy Director General in Akashwani.Those promoted include Ms R A P Rao, Ram Dhani Ram, V Sekhoche, Urvashi Joshi, Noore Naqvi, S Liyan and V V Dixit.L D Mandloi andN G Srinivas have been promoted as DDG in Doordarshan.

Verma appointed Vice Chancellor LNIPE

Dr D K Verma has taken over, as Vice Chancellor of the Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education Gwalior.He was Dean Department of Physical Education in Kurekshetra University. Union Sports and Youth Welfare Ministry has appointed Dr Verma for a period of five years.

Sujata Rao on study leave


Joint Secretary Health in the Government of India Sujata Rao has proceeded on one-year study leave. 1974 batch IAS Officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre Ms Rao is joining Harvard School of Public Health next week. She also did her MPA from Harvard in 1990.

Why Telecom officials shifted from HP ?

A couple of senior Telecom Officials including Smile GM B R Kashyap have been transferred from Himachal Pradesh. It is said that the officials were shifted for not cooperating Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Shakti Party leaders in the state.

Jharkhand bureaucracy is angry

Jharkhand bureaucracy is irked over the directive of the Chief Secretary Mukund Prasad that Cabinet decision must be implemented within two weeks. A Spokesman of the IAS Association in the state has reacted sharply over the directive saying that political decisions are often not clear.
