1967 batch IAS Officers yet to get promotion

Half a dozen 1967 batch IAS Officers in the country are still waiting in the wings to get Secretary level promotion in the Government of India. About two dozen empanelled officers of this batch have already got postings .Ms J A Khan, Ashok Basak, Raja Ram, Laxmi Ratan, B K Mishra, Rajiv Shrivastava and Binu Sen are yet to get posting in the GOI.

Rakesh Agrawal is going on deputation to the National Police Academy Hyderabad. Agrawal is 1994 batch IPS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre.

V C Pharka has been appointed MD of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.K S Narang has been made Member (Finance) HP Electricity Board.Director Public Relations Balram Sharma has been given additional charge of Director Vigilance and Special Secretary Home. Secretary Industries Subhash Negi has been given additional charge of IT.

IPS reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh.

About a dozen-IPS Officers have been reshuffled in Madhya Pradesh. ADG (Training) Sukhpal Singh has been shifted to SC Welfare.V S Raghuvanshi on his promotion has been posted as ADG (Training).M L Rane and S S Lal have been promoted to the rank of IG.H S Pawar and A K Jain have been given DIG rank. Rajesh Chawla has been transferred to Rewa as SP.P K Jain will now be DIG SAF Chambal Region. V K Singh and R S Kaul have been made Additional SP's of Vidisha and Jaora respectively. Neeraj Balchandani has been made Commandant 26th Battalian Guna.

States support to Jayalalitha

About a dozen states have supported TamilNadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha's stand to oppose Centre on the question of requisitioning three police officers from the state.West Bangal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, Chhatisgarh, Karnataka, Maharastra, Delhi, and Kerala have supported the TamilNadu Chief Minister.

New work culture in Orissa police

New Director General of Police N C Padhi has made it clear to all the officers not to come unless called for. He has also asked the officers to shun casual approach in their work. The new DGP has also asked all the police officers to cut short lunchbreak.
