Banerjee gets extension

Joint Secretary Urban Development Ministry in the Government of India S Banerjee has been granted three months extension in his tenure of deputation. Tenure of 1971 batch IAS Officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre had ended early this month.

Satish Chandra to get extension

Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development Satish Chandra is getting three months extension in his tenure. Satish Chandra who is 1970 batch IAS Officer of UT cadre has been empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary . His tenure will come to an end on January 1.

Vineet Joshi to be Director in Child and Women Welfare

Vineet Joshi is being appointed Director in the Ministry of Child and Women Welfare in the Government of India. He is 1982 batch Manipur-Tripura cadre IAS Officer. Joshi will replace 1983 batch West Bengal cadre IAS Officer Gopal Krishna who has returned to his parent cadre after completion of his deputation tenure.

Mumbai Police Commissioner M N Singh is now unlikely to head any CPO.He is to be blamed himself for his folly.Government of India is angry with M N Singh for his going to the media to take credit of his warning about terrorists attack on Parliament.There is a feeling in the GOI that Singh should not have rushed to the press .Mumbai Police Commissioner M N Singh who is 1967 batch IPS Officer had recently been empanelled to the rank of DG in the GOI.

Mukherjee bereaved

Mrs A Mukherjee wife of former Director General of Police Madhya Pradesh B K Mukherjee died in Bhopal on Monday following massive heart attack .She was about 63.

1968 batch empanelment meeting postponed

Empanelment meeting of 1968 batch IAS Officers to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India did not take place on December 15. Now meeting is expected to take place some time next month.
