Two IAS Officers back to Assam

After completion of Central tenure two IAS Officers Shyam Lal Mewara and Dhirvir Jhingran are back to parent Assam cadre. 1984 batch IAS Officer Mewara who was in the Ministry of Textiles has been posted as Secretary and Commissioner Fishery Department in Assam. Dhirvir ,1986 batch officer who was in the Ministry of HRD has been made Secretary and Commissioner School Education.Meanwhile Shashadhar Nath has been appointed new Finance Secretary.

P K Sarma to be new CBDT Chairman

Finally the Government has decided to appoint P K Sarma new Chairman of the CBDT.Sarma will replace O P Shrivastava who is superannuating this month end. A proposal to grant three months extension in tenure to Shrivastava has been turned down.

Gwalior Railway Station building was named after late Madhav Rao Scindia by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Saturday in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. The only person was missing on this occasion was Jyotiraditya Scindia son of the departed leader Madhav Rao Scindia.Infact, there was no invitation to him from the organisers.Who is to be blamed Centre or the State Government ?.
