Panda is new CVO IRCON Suresh Chandra Panda PS to Union Steel Minister B K Tripathy has been appointed Chief Vigilance Officer of IRCON.He is 1981 batch IAS Officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. Arvind Pande gets extension Chairman of the Steel Authority of India Arvind Pande has been granted three months extension.Pande who is 1965 batch IAS Officer will now continue till September 2001. 1968 batch IAS empanelment meeting postponed Empanelment meeting for 1968 batch IAS Officers did not take place on November29.Meeting for the empanelment of this batch to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India is now to be held most probably this month. 24 new GM's in BHEL 24 new General Managers have been appointed in the BHEL this year. Last year 23 General Managers had been promoted. Neerja Rajkumar is new JS Animal Husbandry Neerja Rajkumar has joined as Joint Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry in the Government of India. She is 1972 batch IAS Officer of Karnataka cadre.
Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board managing director Sunil Sud's name runs high among the nearly half a dozen top IAS officers floating around in the corridors of power as possible replacement for additional chief secretary, home, V.V.R. Subba Rao. Subba Rao retires at the end of December. Belonging to the 1968 batch, Sud's choice runs high on the list of officers being considered as a replacement that is awaited by the state's top police brass.Other names being considered are C.K. Koshy of 1968 batch, P.K. Ghosh of 1967 batch, and Ashok Narayan of 1966 batch. IPS reshuffle in Gujrat In a much-awaited move, the state government promoted three IPS officers and transferred eight to fill vacancies in the top posts in the police department on Monday. The border district of Banaskantha got a new Superintendent of Police with Additional superintendent of police (Kutch) Himanshu Bhatt being posted here in place of RB Brahmbhatt who was transferred a month back. Deputy commissioner of police Rajkot city, Narsimha N Komar was posted as Superintendent of police, Valsad in place of Hasmukh Patel who left for Kosovo on deputation under the UN peace-keeping mission. At Porbandar, whose SP Neerja Gotru Rao also left for the same assignment, the new SP is S Pandian Rajkumar who was DCP (zone 2) in Ahmedabad. Vadodara police commissioner J Mahapatra was promoted and posted as Additional DG (Police reforms) in Gandhinagar in place of Hiralal who retired on Friday. Mahapatra will hand over charge to the special inspector general of police of Vadodara Range , Deepak Swaroop , who will remain in charge till a permanent posting of a new CP is done. Special IG (Armed units) DD Tuteja was promoted as Additional DG and posted as Director Security and chief vigilance officer, GEB in Vadodara. Special IG (Surat Range) NK Bhandari was promoted and posted as Additional DG, State crime records bureau cum police computer centre in place of HC Solanki who was posted as Director of Prosecution. Deputy commissioner of police (South), Vadodara city RV Jotangia was posted as Superintendent of police, Narmada district. Despite these transfers, two very important posts remain vacant, that of Special IG (Border range) and DCP (crime) Ahmedabad after GS Malik also left for the year-long Kosovo mission. |
