Pravesh Sharma takes over UN assignment

Pravesh Sharma, who was a Director in the PMO, has joined as a senior advisor IFAD a UN assignment. Sharma who is 1982 batch IAS Officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre will be based in Delhi. This assignment is for a period of three years.

Three posts in BSF vacant

Three posts to the rank of IG have fallen vacant. While Vijay Kumar has gone back to the parent TamilNadu cadre to head the Special Task Force, V C Goyal has been repatriated to the parent Uttar Pradesh cadre. After completion of tenure V N Rai has also returned to the parent UP cadre.

Dr Amar Singh empanelled

Two 1981 batch IAS Officers Dr Amar Singh and Rajiv Yadav have been empanelled to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India.Dr Amar Singh is Secretary to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Rajiv Yadav is an Assam-Meghalaya cadre officer. The two officers were empanelled during the course of review.

Muivah is new Director Banking

Ramnaganian Muivah is the new Director in the Department of Banking.He is 1985 batch Manipur-Tripura cadre IAS Officer. He has replaced U P Singh who has returned to the parent Orissa cadre after completion of his tenure.

Review meeting postponed

Sources close to the Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister, Brijesh Mishra said that review meeting of the 1967 batch IAS Officers had been postponed because of the Indo-Pak summit. The meeting was slated for July 10.Names of about a dozen IAS Officers including Ms G C Shrivastava, Pratibha Karan, Arun Gupta, Lakhan Pal, D S Bagga, Om Kumar and B K Saha figure in the list of consideration.

Massive manhunt for IAS Officer

Kerala police have launched a massive manhunt for an IAS Officer K G Suresh Kumar and his two children. His wife has filed a petition that her children were not returned by her husband on July 1 as per the directive of the court.

Former TN DG gets anticipatory bail

Former TamilNadu Director General of Police F C Sharma has sought anticipatory bail apprehending arrest by the new Government.

Major IAS reshuffle in Gujrat likely

Gujrat Chief Minister Keshu Bhai Patel is quite angry with the IAS lobby these days. He may go in for a large-scale reshuffle of the IAS Officers soon. The mood of the Chief Minister can be judged from his tone and tenor when he remarked " what does the IAS Officers Association think of itself". The association had conveyed to the Chief Minister that they would refuse wrongdoing of the political leadership. Several officers including C K Koshy, R K Tripathi, Manjula Subramaniam and K C Kapoor may figure in the transfer list.

IPS promotions in Madhya Pradesh

Four DIG rank and seven SP rank IPS Officers are being promoted in Madhya Pradesh in a day or two. Ms P L Pandey and Vijay Shukul both 1980 batch and Sudarshan Kumar and V K Wate both 1981 batch are being given IG rank. Ms Sudhir Kumar Saxena, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Vijay Yadav, C V Muni Raju, Pavan Kumar Jain, Shailesh Singh and Rajendra Kumar Mishra all belonging to 1987 batch are being promoted to the rank of DIG.
