Empanelment of 1982 batch IAS in September

Empanelment of 1982 batch IAS Officers in the country is to take place in September. Out of five three Secretaries have already submitted their recommendation. Two Secretaries are being asked to submit their recommendation next month. Altogether there are about 140 Officers of this batch .

No extension to Amrit Mathur

The Government of India has refused to grant extension to Amrit Mathur Secretary Sports Authority of India. Tenure of Indian Railway Traffic Service Officer Mathur is coming to an end in September.

Damodaran on deputation

The new UTI Chairman M Damodaran is only on deputation for one year. Damodaran was OSD in the Reserve Bank of India prior to his new assignment. The 1971 batch IAS Officer of the Manipur-Tripura cadre had also been a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Banking.

Pillai NMPT Secretary

D Vijayan Pillai has been appointed Secretary of New Manglore Port Trust with effect from July 18.He is currently Under Secretary in the Union Ministry of Shipping.

Malik to join BSF

The ACC has cleared the appointment of O P S Malik for the post of IG in the Border Security Force.He is 1973 batch IPS Officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is likely to be posted in Jodhpur.

IAS Officer beaten up

An IAS Officer in Maharastra Sanjay Ajay Kumar Mukherjee was beaten up ruthlessly by the youth wing of Maratha Organisation. The 1996 batch IAS Officer Mukherjee is CEO Latur Zila Parishad. Incidently this is the Home District of Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh.

New CGM in Maharastra

Nirmal Swaroop has taken over as Chief General Manager of Maharastra Telecom Circle. He has been posted there after the retirement of H Sudersan.
