Koshy Koshy an IG rank officer posted in the BPR&D has been granted one-year extension in his tenure. The Haryana cadre 1973 batch IPS officer has been on deputation to the Government of India for the last seven years.

Ambar Sen promoted

Ambar Sen has been promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary in the RAW. He is 1970 batch IPS who later opted RAW services.

Raja Ram and Laxmi Ratan to join GOI

Two 1967 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS Officers Raja Ram and Laxmi Ratan will join the Government of India in a couple of months. The state Government has permitted the two officers to go on deputation to the GOI. Both the officers have been empanelled to the rank of Secretary.

R K Singh on Wednesday joined the Uttranchal Government. The 1985 batch IAS Officer was earlier serving in Uttar Pradesh.

UP Government to raise retirement age

The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to raise retirement age for the employees from 58 to 60 years. According to an estimate the decision would save 1200 crores to the state.

SP and DM to address joint press conference

The Uttar Pradesh Government has directed District Collectors and Superintendents of Police to hold joint press conference in the event of some major problem. The directive has been aimed to bring about cordial atmosphere among the two senior district officials.

SP-DIG clash in Punjab

Director General of Police Punjab Sarabjeet Singh has sought a report on the reported clash between a DIG and SP.DIG Sanjeev Gupta and SP Harpreet Singh Siddhu are at loggerheads over the promotion of an ASI. The SP later promoted the ASI Indu Bala who was suspended by the DIG.

Lalit Prakash Kothari will be the new Chief Electoral Officer Rajasthan. Name of 1977 batch IAS officer Kothari has been cleared by the Election Commission. He is currently Forest Secretary. The post had been lying vacant for the last several months.
