Now Rewa Nayyar 1968 batch IAS Officer of the Haryana cadre is out of the race..B P Mishra has emerged front runner for the post of Establishment Officer in the Department of Personnel.The 1969 batch IAS Officer of the UT cadre Mishra is likely to take over from K Rajendran Nair on August 14.Three months extended tenure of 1967 batch Punjab cadre IAS Officer Nair will be over on that date.

P K Tripathi is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Jal Board.He is 1977 batch IAS Officer of the UT cadre.

IPS changes in Rajasthan

P Ramji has been shifted from Alwar to Jaipur as ASP. Alok Kumar Vashistha has been transferred to Kota as ASP.

Mehra joins Petro-Chemicals Ministry

Pradip Mehra has joined as Member Secretary National Pharmaceutical Authority of India in the Ministry of Petro-Chemicals. He is 1975 batch IAS Officer of the UT cadre. He was earlier CEO of the Delhi Jal Board.

Vora empanelled

Bhushan Lal Vora has been empanelled to the rank of DG in the Government of India. He is 1967 batch IPS Officer of the Manipur-Tripura cadre. He is now eyeing for the post of DG National Security Guards.

Judgement reserved

The Karnataka High Court has reserved its judgement on the Government of India's petition challenging the order of the Banglore bench of CAT quashing the appointment of R K Raghvan the former Director of the CBI.A senior Karnataka cadre IPS officer C Dinakar had challenged the appointment of Raghvan.Attorny General Soli Sorabjee represented the case on behalf of the Government of India.

Having spilled the beans at the Agra summit, Advani lobby has increased pressure on moderate Atal Behari Vajpayee to make Home Minister as Deputy Prime Minister of India. Advani loyalists feel that since he has emerged as the only Indian leader during the Agra summit who can deal with Pakistan with iron hand, he should be considered atleast next to Prime Minister if not the PM itself.
