Chairperson of the ITDC and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism is being appointed Director General Employment and Training in the Ministry of Labour.Formal orders to this effect are expected soon. She is 1974 batch IAS Officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Amitabh Kant is likely to be the new Chairman of Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). Name of 1980 batch Kerala cadre IAS Officer is said to have been approved by the Tourism Minister Anant Kumar.

Krishnan to return Uttranchal

Director General Employment and Training in the Ministry of Labour S Krishnan is returning to the parent Uttranchal cadre. He is 1975 batch IAS Officer.If reports are to be believed he will be replaced by the ITDC Chairperson and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism Asha Murthy.

1982 batch IAS empanelment today

The much-awaited empanelment of 1982 batch IAS Officers is expected to take place on Monday.Altogether there are 140 Officers of this batch in the country. If all goes well about 45 IAS Officers are going to be empanelled.

Three states to have new DGPs

Three states-Uttar Pradesh, Orissa and Karnataka will have new Police Chief on August 1.N C Padi and R K Pandit will take over as DGP of Orissa and Uttar Pradesh respectively. Karnataka Government is yet to select the successor of Dr K Shreenivasan.

Dr Rajgopalan is new NSG Chief
