Chief Secretary of Karnataka Teresa Bhattacharya is being empanelled to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India.Her name has figured during a review meeting. She is 1965 batch IAS Officer of Karnataka cadre.

Malik joins as IG BSF

O P S Malik has joined as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF). He is 1973 batch IPS Officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He has been made incherge of Rajasthan-Gujrat frontier with headquarters at Jaiselmer.

Verma to be new Chief Secretary UP

Finally Ajay Prakash Verma has been chosen to head the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy. He is 1966 batch IAS Officer.He will replace Bhola Nath Tiwari who is retiring this month end. Official announcement about Verma will be made in a couple of days.

R H Patil has been appointed Chairman of the Disinvestment Commission. The Government of India has reconstituted the Commission.

Shukla to get DG rank

Radhe Mohan Shukla will be promoted to the rank of Director General in Uttar Pradesh next month. The 1967 batch IPS Officer Shukla will fill the vacancy to be caused by the superannuation of Chandra Kumar Malik.
