P C Meena is the new Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State Information and Broadcasting Ramesh Bais. He is 1984 batch IAS Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. The Minister hails from Chhatisgarh State.

Jain appointed JS Shipping

Director in the Department of Personnel R K Jain has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping. He is 1981 batch IAS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Bureaucratic circles are, however, not sure about Jain's joining the Shipping Ministry.

Dhal preferred GOI

Vinod Dhal who was being appointed Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh on August 1 has however, preferred to join the Government of India. The 1966 batch IAS Officer Dhal has been appointed Secretary Company Affairs in the GOI.

John Mathew is DG Intelligence Tripura

John Mathew who was not promoted in the Intelligence Bureau and repatriated to the parent Manipur Tripura cadre is now Director General. The 1969 batch IPS Officer John Mathew has been made DG Intelligence in Tripura, a new post created in the state

Mehrotra to be Chief Secretary Madhya Pradesh

P K Mehrotra is being appointed Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh.Official orders are to be issued in a day or two. The 1965 batch IAS Officer will replace K S Sharma who is superannuating on July 31.Mehrotra is currently Director General Academy of Administration.

Bhaskar is new DGP Karnataka

Finally, V V Bhaskar has been appointed Director General of Police Karnataka. He is 1965 batch IPS Officer. He will replace Dr K Srinivasan who is retiring on July 31.There were about three other contenders for the post.

Nanhe Singh appointed Member HRC

The Madhya Pradesh Government has appointed Principal Secretary Home Nanhe Singh as Member of the State Human Rights Commission. He is 1968 batch IAS Officer. Secretary Vidhan Sabha K P Tiwari and Shakuntala Sharma wife of Chief Secretary K S Sharma have also been appointed members. Meanwhile, the state Government has abolished the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).

Bharatgiri to be MD Uttranchal JVUN

Bharatgiri is being appointed Managing Director of Uttranchal Jal Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. Formal orders are to be issued soon.

The Punjab Government has decided to promote 1988 batch IPS Officers to the rank of DIG.In the first phase Mohit Chaudhry and Inderpal Singh Sahota of this batch will be promoted.

Manoj Kumar to be PS Finance MP

Manoj Kumar is being appointed Principal Secretary Finance in Madhya Pradesh Government. The 1970 batch IAS Officer is currently Principal Secretary Separate Revenue Department. Principal Secretary Education Uma Kant Samal may replace Manoj Kumar.
