Will Khanduri join Petroleum Ministry ?

A close relative of a Union Minister has come in the way of Ajay Tyagi who was set to join the Petroleum Ministry as a Director. Name of Tyagi ,a 1984 batch IAS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre has been favoured by the Petroleum Ministry. Will Khanduri be able to join the Ministry?.

D C Gupta promoted

Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel Dinesh Chandra Gupta has been promoted. The 1967 batch Orissa cadre IAS Officer has been elevated to the rank of Special Secretary.

Nair appointed DC Handlooms

Establishment Officer in the Department of Personnel K Rajendran Nair has been promoted and posted as Development Commissioner, Handlooms in the Ministry of Textiles.He is 1967 batch IAS Officer of Punjab cadre. Three months extended tenure of Nair was coming to an end on August 14.The post has been upgraded to the level of Special Secretary.While, his Minister Vasundhara Raje was keen to send him back to the parent Punjab cadre, Cabinet Secretary T R Prasad was determined to post him in the Government of India.

Pradhan will be Special Secretary Agriculture

Ashok Pradhan who had declined to join as Secretary Official Languages, has been appointed Special Secretary Agriculture in the Government of India.The 1967 batch IAS Officer of UT cadre Pradhan will replace S K Purkayastha who has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Banking in place of Devi Dayal who is superannuating on July 31.

Pratibha Karan and Rao promoted

Two 1967 batch IAS Officers have been promoted to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India.While, Pratibha Karan will be new Managing Director TRIFED,J V R Prasad Rao will be elevated at his current assignment in the Ministry of Health.

Suspension of IAS Officer revoked

The Government of India has revoked the suspension of Haryana cadre 1988 batch IAS Officer Anil Kumar . The Om Prakash Chautala Government last year suspended him . Anil Kumar had appealed to the Government of India against the suspension order .

Who will head ICAR?

Who will be the Chief of Indian Council of Agriculture Research after Rajendra Singh Paroda ?.In all probability Dr Mangla Rai will replace Paroda whose term is coming to an end in August. Rai is currently DDG Crop Science in the ICAR.

Goyal to be DIG NSG

Somesh Goyal is all set to join the National Security Guards (NSG) as DIG. Goyal is 1984 batch IPS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. The Government of India has approved the appointment of Goyal.
