Will Finance Secretary Ajit Kumar be made scapegoat in UTI case? Rumour mill says that Ajit Kumar is on his way out and he will be replaced by the Defence Secretary Yogendra Narain.Other theory doing the round in the corridors of power is that Ajit Kumar will continue even after his attaining the age of superannuation till the new budget is tabled in the Parliament and thereafter he will be appointed in the World Bank in place of B P Singh.

Amitabh Kant is new JS Tourism

Amitabh Kant has been appointed new Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism. He is ,a 1980 batch IAS Officer of the Kerala cadre. Kant has replaced Asha Murthy.

Who will replace Asha Murthy?.A tug of war is currently on to grab the glamorous post of the Chairman Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) after the shifting of Asha Murthy in the Labour Ministry.Director in the Ministry Ashvini Rohani is the hot favourite of the Tourism Minister Anant Kumar.Amitabh Kant who is joining the Ministry as Joint Secretary has the backing of a powerful lobby in the PMO plus two big business magnates. Newly designated Director General Tourism V K Duggal has also jumped into the fray with his top connections in Delhi. A decision is to be taken this week.
