Atul Sinha is new Additional Secretary Commerce

Atul Sinha on Tuesday took over as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce.He is 1968 batch IAS Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. Prior to this he was Director General Tourism in the Government of India.

Duggal is new DG Tourism

V K Duggal, Additional Secretary Commerce is the new Director General Tourism. The 1968 batch IAS Officer of UT cadre has replaced Atul Sinha. He has, however, failed to get the post of Chairman ITDC in addition to this job.

No NOC to Rajgopalan

R Rajgopalan is to take over as new NSG Chief on August 1,but the TamilNadu Government has so far not relieved him. Sudhir Rajpal has joined the Ministry of Steel as Deputy Secretary in the Government of India. He is 1990 batch IAS Officer of Haryana cadre.

S K Pande is all set to become Director General Forests in the Government of India.Appointment of Pande, Himachal Pradesh cadre IFS Officer is to be cleared by the Prime Minister early next month.Parminder Singh an IFS Officer from the North-East who was also in the run has lost the battle.

Finally,Ashvini Lohani, hot favourite of Tourism Minister Anant Kumar has been appointed Chairman of the Indian Tourism Development Corporation{ITDC}.1980 batch Officer of the Indian Railways Accounts Service is a Director in the Ministry of Tourism. V K Duggal new DG of Tourism and Amitabh Kant new Joint Secretary in the Ministry were also in the run for the post. Lohani has replaced Asha Murthy who has joined the Labour Ministry.

Bains is Director Agriculture Punjab

The Punjab Government has succumbed to the pressure and appointed a technocrat Dr S S Bains as AgricultureDirector.Earlier an IAS Officer had been posted as Director.

Sinha to replace R K Pandit

D P Sinha IG Lucknow zone is being appointed Chief of Law and Order Uttar Pradesh. He will replace R K Pandit who is taking over as DGP in place of M C Dwivedi. Dwivedi is retiring on Tuesday.

Singh to be APC

A P Singh is being appointed new Agriculture Production Commissioner . He is 1967 batch IAS Officer. He will replace A P Verma who is taking over as new Chief Secretaryof Uttar Pradesh.

Dangwal to get DG rank

S P Dangwal is being promoted to the rank of DG in Madhya Pradesh. He is 1966 batch IPS Officer. He will be promoted in place of 1965 batch IPS Officer V P Singh who is superannuating on Tuesday.

Will N K Singh and Mankad be questioned?
