Ms Rao is new Spokesperson MEA

 

Ms Nirupama Rao is the new Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs. The 1973 batch IFS Officer Ms Rao has taken over from Raminder Singh Jassal who has been posted as the new ambassador to Israel.
 

 


 



IPS reshuffle in Manipur

The new President's rule administration has effected major police reshuffle in Manipur.ADG, C peter Ngahanyui has been assigned the job of operations and armed police.IG Romenkumar Singh will head the crime Department.Two IG's A Pradip Singh and R Baral have been asked to look after Law and Order.L K Haokip will be incherge of a missing persons cell.

Two new RBI Deputy Governors

Vepa Kamesam, MD State Bank of India and G P Munippan former Executive Director RBI have been appointed as Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governors to replace S P Talwar and Jagdish Capoor. Talwar and Capoor are to retire on June 30.

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two IAS Officers to be interrogated?

 

The Goa CID Police have sought permission from the Government of India to interrogate two IAS officers of the UT cadre.H Pachuao and Jitendra Jumar Dadoo are 1976 and 1983 batch IAS officers respectively. Former MD of the Marmagoa Steel Limited V S Bhandare has already been interrogated in a power scandal case.

A major IAS reshuffle has taken place in Kerala.C Chandran will be new Resident Commissioner in Delhi.His predecessor in Delhi Dr Vijay Laxmi Nambiar has been shifted as Director Institute of Management.J Sudhakaran will be new Commissioner Land Revenue.C Ramchandran who was Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister has been made PS Personnel and Administrative Reforms.Other changes are: Dharamveer Secretary Higher Education, S Subbaiah (P&AR),VK Vasudevan State Women'Commission, Anil Xavier Director Public Relations, V Samasundaran Commissioner Sales Tax,John Mathi Principal Secretary Industries ,Alkesh Sarma Director Tourism and Mohan Kumar Director Water Resources.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IPS transfers in TamilNadu

For the first time two IPS Officers of the ADG rank have been shunted out to districts in TamilNadu.A X Alexander ADG Special Operations has been shifted to Refugees Camp Mandapan.Another ADG who was looking after Law & Order will now be Chief Vigilance Officer State Transport Corporation Tiruchi.K Ramanujam IG Intelligence has been made IG Vigilance TNEP Tiruchi.
 

 

 

 

 

IPS reshuffle in Kerala

 

Several IPS officers have been transferred in Kerala.V Rajeevan and Venugopal K Nair have been appointed IGP South and North Zone respectively.Mohammad Yasin has been made DIG Ernakulam.One dozen District Superintendents of Police have also been changed. New posting are: M R Ajit Kumar Kasaragod,Mahipal Yadav Wayanad, Vijay Shankar Sakot Kozikode City Commissioner, S Suresh Kozikode Rural,Anil KanthMallapuram,P M Abdul Khader Palakkad,Balram Kumar Upadhyay Thrissur,Revtha ChandrashekharCity Commissioner Ernakulam,T K Vinod Kumar Commissioner Rural Ernakulam, T Sasidharan Idukki,S Ananthkrishnan Pathanamthitta, Nitin Agrawal Alappyza, P Srinivasan Kollam.Two SP's Manoj Abraham of Kannaur and S Gopinath of Kottayam have remained untouched. A confirmed official report said that RJD MLA in Bihar Bhagwatia Devi had slapped Gaya SP Ravindran Shankaran on Wednesday. She is MLA from Barachatti in Gaya District. The matter has reached the Chief Minister.
