Why did Mohapatra meet Pramod Mahajan?

Samar Vallabh Mohapatra 's meeting with Union Information and Technology Minister Pramod Mahajan has raised many an eyebrow in the bureaucratic circles. He is 1967 batch IAS officer of the Orissa cadre and awaiting posting to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. It is believed that his meeting with Mahajan has something to do with the post of Secretary IT. Earlier there were reports that Mohapatra would replace the Textile Secretary Anil Kumar.
 

 


 

 

 



No takers for Anil Kumar ?

People may spread any kind of rumour about the shifting of Textile Secretary Anil Kumar, he is going to stay.If reports doing the round in the corridors of power are to be believed then it can be safely said that no minister is willing to accept Anil Kumar as Secretary. Otherwise also the 1965 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS Officer Anil Kumar is retiring early next year.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vinay Kumar is back to Karnataka

 

 Vinay Kumar Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Government of India is back to Karnataka cadre. The 1975 batch IAS officer had to go back to the parent cadre since he was not granted extension by the GOI.

Karunakaran and posting of Collector

 

 Senior Congress leader of Kerala K Karunakaran has lashed out his arch political rival Chief Minister A K Antony against posting of Suraj as Collector Thrissur.He said that the State Government had not followed the tradition of posting IAS Officers belonging to Hindu community in the district.
