Shekhar Dutt has been appointed Director General for the ensuing Afro-Asian games. The 1969 batch IAS Officer Dutt is currently Director General of the Sports Authority of India.

IPS reshuffle in UP

 

Over sixty IPS officers have been transferred in Uttar Pradesh.Ten DIG level officers have been shifted. DIG Jhansi A K Singh will be DIG Technical Services Lucknow and he will be replaced by N B Singh.Saharanpur DIG Subesh Kumar Singh has been brought to the headquarters. C B Rai will be new DIG Basti and Basti DIG Brijendra Singh will go to PTC Muradabad.DIG PAC Muradabad Gopal Gupta has been made DIG Saharanpur.Mirzapur DIG S K Sharma will go to PAC Muradabad and Gurdarshan Singh will replace him.DIG Border Range Behraich Jagmohan Yadav has been shifted to Telecom Lucknow. He will be replaced by V K Tiwari.Those SP rank officers affected includeRaj kumar Vishvakarma,Javed Akhtar, Asim Varun,Devi Singh, P K Tiwari, Pramod Kumar, Ashok Kumar,Subhash Chand, Radheshyam Tripathi,JaiNarain Singh,Navneet Yadav and S P Shriodkar.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gogoi to be acting MD Air India

J N Gogoi will be acting Managing Director of the Air India. The ACC has approved the proposal of the Civil Aviation Ministry to this effect.

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pande to be DG Forests?

 

Who will be next Director General Forests in the Government of India. Chances of S K Pande a Himachal Pradesh cadre IFS officer seem bright. Though Parminder Singh an officer from the NorthEast is also in the run.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Writ petition against West Bengal DG filed

DG Home Guards West Bengal Manas Chakravorty has filed a writ petition in the CAT protesting against the appointment of Dinesh Vajpayee as DGP of the state. Noted lawyer Siddharth Shankar Ray is appearing in the CAT on behalf of Manas Chakravorty. The IPS Officer has accused the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya of violating the directive of the Supreme Court in the appointment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SPs approach IPS association

 

Two District Superintendents of Police of Bihar Ravindran Shankaran and Shobha Ohatkar have approached the IPS Association D P Oza to take up their case. The two-IPS officers were subjected to humiliation at the hands of the MLAs.
