Gopal Swamy to be Secretary GOI

Secretary General National Human Rights Commission N Gopal Swamy is being appointed Secretary in the Government of India. The 1966 batch Gujrat cadre IAS Officer Swamy may be appointed in place of either R V V Aiyar or Piyush Mankad.Name of Govind Rajan is also in circulation for the post of Secretary Industrial Development.

 S J Singh has been appointed ambassador to Egypt.Kajor Mal Meena, India's ambassador to Syria will be country's next ambassador to Oman.

 Dr Sujit K Basu, Director of National Institute of Management Kolkata has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Vishvabharti University, West Bengal.
 

 

 

 

Two new High Court Judges

B N P Singh and Prithvi Narayan Yadav have been appointed Judges in the Patna High Court.They are from the judicial service cadre.

  
 

 

 

 

Directors post and IAS

 

 IAS officers in the country belonging to 1987 batch will be eligible for the post of Director in the Government of India from July 1.
 

 

 

 

Three transfers in seven months

 

 In the newly carved out Jharkhand state an IAS officer has been transferred thrice in seven months.He is 1986 batch officer D K Tiwari.Another IAS Officer of 1972 batch S D Sharma was also shifted twice during the period.
