Three changes in one year

This is V N Kaul's third change during the past one year. On Monday the 1965 batch IAS Officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre was appointed Petroleum Secretary.He joined the Government of India early last year as Secretary Chemicals and Fertilisers and in November he was shifted to Petro-Chemicals.If Hindu mythology is to be believed Kaul would have two more changes in the GOI.
 

 




 

Govind Rajan to replace Mankad !

Grapevine has it that Secretary Company Affair Govind Rajan will replace Secretary Industrial promotions Piyush Mankad.Govind Rajan is 1967 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre and a favourite of the Cabinet Secretary T R Prasad. Mankad is joining the ADB in the first week of July.
 

 

 

 

A V Singh is Special Secretary Defence

Uttaranchal Chief Secretary A V Singh has joined the Defence Ministry as Special Secretary.A new post of Special Secretary Defence Procurement has been created. The 1967 batch the Defence Minister Jaswant Singh knows IAS Officer A V Singh from the Rajasthan days.
 

 

 

 

Ravindra Nath is new DGP TamilNadu

A Ravindra Nath has taken over as new DGP of TamilNadu. The 1965 batch IPS Officer Nath has replaced his batchmate R Rajgopalan.

  
 

 

 

 

Chandra Shekhar is new JS Defence

 

 Rentala Chandra Shekhar has joined the Defence Ministry as a Joint Secretary. Rentala is 1975 batch IAS Officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre.
 

 

 

 

IPS changes in Assam

A couple of IPS Officers have been shifted in Assam. K V Singh Deo is the new SP of Sivasagar.Pravin Chandra Saikia will replace Singh Deo in Commando Battalion.D N Hazarika will go to 11th battalion in place of Saikia. Sivasagar SP T P Singh has been asked to proceed on leave.
 

 

 

 

New High Court Judges

 

 P S Narayana and G Rohini have been appointed Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Prafulla Kumar Mishra has been transferred from Orissa to the Madras High Court.
 

 

 

 

IT Commissioners posted in Uttranchal and Chhatisgarh

 

 Income-Tax Commissioners have been posted in the newly carved out states of Uttranchal and Chhatisgarh. A K Shrivastava has been posted in Uttranchal while H C Jain in Chhatisgarh.
