Shunglu gets another job

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India V K Shunglu whose tenure expires next year has got another assignment. Shunglu who is 1962 batch IAS has been appointed external auditor of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation for a period of four years from 2002.Several auditors general from different parts of the world were also in the run for the job.
 

 




 

IPS changes in Himachal Pradesh

R S Negi ADG Law and Order has been removed. He has been shifted to Jail Department. K S Rana has been promoted to the rank of IG and made incharge of Law and Order.I D Bhandari DIG Southern range has also been promoted and posted as IG CID.

 
 

 

 

 

Patidar gets extension

 

 

Vijay Patidar will stay in Stockholm for another two years. The 1983 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre Patidar has been working as a senior executive in the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance for the last four years. He has been granted another two years extension.
 

 

 

 

Chopra is new envoy to Jamaica

I V Chopra, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs has been appointed country's next High Commissioner to Jamaica. He will replace O P Gupta.

Two years imprisonment to Orissa Chief Engineer

 

The Special CBI Court has sentenced two years rigorous imprisonment to a former Chief Engineer of Irrigation Department in Orissa Laxmi Narain Babu. Several charges had been framed against him.
 

 

 

 

Jharkhand CS pulled up

 

 

 

The Jharkhad High Court has pulled up state Chief Secretary Vijay Shankar Dube for the non-cooperation by the bureaucracy. The Chief Secretary who appeared in the High Court has assured that he would see that all the departments obey the court's order.
