Cabinet Secretary on leave

Cabinet Secretary T R Prasad is away from Delhi for about a week.Will there be Secretary level changes in his absence?.Bureaucratic circles have no answer to this question. A couple of Secretary level vacancies including the Industrial Development and Elementary Educations are to be filled.
 

 




 

Will Sunder Rajan be member UPSC?

There are rumours that OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat Sunder Rajan may be appointed a Member of the Union Public Service Commission.Though, half a dozen IPS Officers are also in the run for the post. Sunder Rajan a 1966 batch IPS Officer had been shunted out from the RAW last year. He is to retire next month.

 
 

 

 

 

R K Jain yet to get posting

 

 

R K Jain is 1981 batch IAS Officer who has been empanelled to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India is yet to get a posting. His plus point is that he is a Director in the Ministry of Personnel and minus point he lacks political support. Despite being a Director in the Department of Personnel he has so far failed to get posting.
 

 

 

 

Rajiv Ranjan will be IB Chief Chhatisgarh

Now SP rank officer Rajiv Ranjan will be head of the Intelligence Bureau in Chhatisgarh. Earlier a Sikkim cadre IPS Officer Avinash Mohnani had been posted.

 
 

 

 

 

Chahal's promotion and Badal

Finally Jarnail Singh Chahal has been promoted to the rank o Director General of Police.Promotion of 1965 batch IPS officer if reports are to be believed was possible because of the keen interest evinced by the Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal. It is said that Chahal had paid quite dearly due to his close proximity to Bhindrawale who controlled pro-Khalistan Movement in Punjab.
 

 

 

 

Chauhan is MD HIMFED

P S Chauhan has been appointed new Managing Director of the HIMFED. Present MD HIMFED has been made Additional Secretary Home Himachal Pradesh Government.

 
 

 

 

 

Nair appointed Vice Chairman KSRTC

 

Appukuttan Nair a retired bureaucrat has been appointed Vice Chairman of TheKerala State Roadways Transport Corporation.Nair had once been Managing Director of the KSRTC.
 

 

 

 

750 Crores for Karnataka Police

 

 

 

The Government of India has sanctioned Rs 750 crores for the modernisation of Karnataka Police. The State DGP Dr K Srinivasan has himself disclosed this saying that the money will be spent during the next four years.
 

 

 

 

 

Jamwal named GOC

 

 

 

Major General Anup Singh Jamwal has been appointed General Officer Commanding Andhra, TamilNadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Goa.He will replace Major General V Jayshankar .
