Bhanu to be Secretary to Assam CM

M G V K Bhanu will be Secretary to Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.He is 1985 batch IAS Officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. Bhanu is currently on deputation to the Government of India. A request to relieve Bhanu has reached the Department of Personnel.
 

 


 



No charge to Advani

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has refused to make Home Minister L K Advani as acting PM in his absence. This time there was tremendous pressure of the RSS to appoint Advaniji as acting Prime Minister.Operation of the of Atalji's knee is slated for tomorrow in Mumbai.

 

 

 

 

Now new panel for NPAI

 

Now a fresh panel is being prepared for the post of Member -Secretary National Pharmaceutical Authority of India. The Ministry of Petro-Chemicals had rejected the earlier panel. Arun Jha a 1981 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre was number one in that panel.

IPS Changes in TamilNadu

 

Several IPS Officers in Tamil Nadu have been transferred. S P Mathur and S Ramani both ADG rank officers have been shifted. Mathaur will be ADG Vigilance Chennai and Ramani will be ADG Crime Branch Chennai.Three IGPs T Radhakrishnan, Sarabjeet Singh and R Natraj figure in the list.Two DIGs:
A Subramaniam and and Dr Mahaboob Alam have been promoted. Kerala DGP's appointment challenged

A senior Kerala IPS officer R P C Nair has challenged the appointment of R Padmanabhan as DGP .A petition regarding this had been filed before the Ernakulam Bench of the CAT.He has termed the appointment of Padmanabhan as erroneous and illegal.

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Surinder Kaur is new DAVP Chief

 

Surinder Kaur who was looking after Publications Division in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been appointed chief of DAVP. Present DAVP Chief Sahib Singh has been shifted to Field Publicity as DG. Suresh Chopra who was DG Field Publicity will now head Publications Division.Additional PIO N N Sharma has been made Regional Director DAVP replacing Bahadur Singh who has gone to the PIB in place of N N Sharma.
