Was it a coincidence ?

Two senior Congress leaders Madhav Rao Scindia and V C Shukla, Samajwadi Party Leader Amar Singh and a trusted bureaucrat of the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, N K Singh were seen in a five-star hotel in Delhi. Was it a sheer conincidence or well-planned gathering?

Empanelment of 1969 batch IAS officers

A couple of 1969 batch IAS Officers including Kasturi Gupta Menon and Indira Mishra have been empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. Empanelment of the officers was made during the review meeting held in Delhi on April 27.

Panda to join GOI

Ramesh Kumar Panda a 1972 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre is joining the Government of India next month. He will be Joint Secretary in the National Rajiv Gandhi Drinking Water Mission. He would replace 1973 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre Anil Kumar who is returning to the parent state this month end.

Dr Anand Kumar to be DD IB West Bengal

Dr Anand Kumar will be the new Deputy Director Intelligence Bureau West Bengal. The 1981 batch IPS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre will take over after the assembly elections. He was earlier posted as DD in the newly carved out Chhatisgarh state.

Ghosh is the choice of Saikia !

Prodipto Ghosh who was on deputation to the ADB has been brought to the Prime Minister's office as Additional Secretary. Insiders say that the 1969 batch UT cadre IAS officer Ghosh is the choice of Ashok Saikia one of the most trusted bureaucrat of the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.His wife is also an IAS officer of 1970 batch of the UT cadre.

Kapoor to join UN mission

The Haryana Government has handed over services of S S Kapoor an IPS officer to the UN Mission in Kosova.

Chief Secretaries to meet in Jaipur

Indrajeet Khanna Chief Secretary of Rajasthan is hosting Chief Secretaries conference of Northern States to convince the participating states to take positive look on economy to compete with developed western and the southern region. The meeting is to be held in Jaipur on May 11.
