Sinha to get DFID post

Amarjeet Sinha a Bihar cadre 1983 batch IAS officer is all set to get DFID post with headquarters in Delhi.He is currently Director in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

IAS officer V/S Chief Minister

A senior Punjab cadre IAS officer is on warpath against his Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal.The Supreme Court has admitted a SLP by 1967 batch IAS officer Karl Reddy. He has gone to the court to seek justice since he has been by-passed .The officer who is pleading his case himself has alleged that this treatment was being meted out because he had interfered with a case of land grabbing by the family of the in-laws of a nephew of the Chief Minister.

New TV Channel

`Phalak` a new TV Channel is being started from next month. Veteran journalist Santosh Bhartiya has already been appointed CEO. Former Union Minister in the Deve Gowda Government is said to be behind the project.

15,1967 batch IAS officers get posting

Altogether 15 IAS officers of 1967 batch have got posting to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India. 15 other empanelled officers of this batch are still waiting in the wings.

Who helped Nair ?

Who helped K Rajendran Nair in getting three months extension ?. The question is being debated in the corridors of South Block. The Establishment Officer in the Department of Personnel Nair was fired by his Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia for certain lapses.Sensing the mood of the Minister it was widely believed that Nair would be repatriated to the parent Punjab cadre after the completition of his tenure.His extension is now being attributed to B B Tandan Secretary Personnel.

Ghosh was PS to Vajpayee

Prodipto Ghosh the newly appointed Additional Secretary in the Prime Ministers office had been PS to Atal Behari Vajpayee when the later was Foreign Minister. He is 1969 batch IAS officer of the UT cadre.

IAS changes in Haryana

A couple of IAS officers have been changed in Haryana. Vijavendra Kumar Administrator Haryana Development Authority Faridabad has been given additional charge of Commissioner Municipal Corporation. Mahavir Singh Additional Director Urban Estates Panchkula has been made Joint Secretary Revenue. M K Miglani Secretary Cooperatives has also been given additional charge of Secretary Education.
