MLAs to get PA

The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to provide services of Personal Assistant to all the MLAs in the state. There are altogether 294 MLAs in the state.

Rishi is new Director Forest Academy

Vinod Rishi is the new Director Indian Forest Academy Dehradoon. He is 1969 batch IFS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He has replaced P B Gangopadhyay a 1975 batch IFS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre.

IAS changes in Uttaranchal

A major bureaucratic reshuffle has taken place in the newly carved out Uttranchal State. S K Das has been appointed as Principal Secretary Home, Jails, Revenue and Land Management departments.Home Secretary Vijendra Paul has been appointed Secretary Food and Civil Supllies,Human Rights and Visa.Other changes are : Rajiv Gupta Secretary Social Welfare, Dairy Development and Fisheries,Amrendra Sinha Secretary Planning, InformationTechnology, Anand Vardhan District Collector Pauri and R K Sudhanshu ADM Pithoragarh.

Sareen to be IG CRPF

H k Sareen is all set to become IG in the CRPF. Name of Sareen an IPS officer of 1975 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre has been cleared by the ACC. Top contender for the post Punjab cadre IPS officer Izhar Alam is now out of the race.

Sanyal refuses post

At a time when the senior bureaucrats aspire for the post retirement job, the outgoing DGP of West Bengal Deepak Sanyal has preferred to say `no' to a proposal. The West Bengal Government had offered post to Sanyal in the Public Service Commission.

Majumdar appointed Chairman Red Cross

S C Majumdar has been appointed Chairman of the Chhatisgarh Red Cross Society. He is 1970 batch retired IAS officer of the Chhatisgarh cadre.

Now National Intelligence Board

The Atal Behari Vajpayee Government has decided to constitute a National Intelligence Board (NIB) to coordinate activities of all Intelligence Agencies in the country. Details are being worked out at the highest level.
