Saxena to retire

Kanwar Bahadur Saxena, the 1964 batch IAS officer is retiring this month end. He is currently Secretary Official Languages in the Government of India.

Mad rush for deputation

There is a mad rush in Haryana for joining the Government of India. Though the state is very small, yet nearly 40 IAS and 18 IPS offficers have given their options for going on deputation to the GOI.

Will Mishra become DIB for one month?

P K Mishra the senior most officer in the Intelligence Bureau is expected to proceed on leave on 1st of June if K P Singh is appointed IB Chief. The 1965 batch IPS officer Mishra is scheduled to retire on June 30.The Government has already decided to appoint 1966 batch IPS officer K P Singh as the new DIB. If sources in the North Block are to be believed P K Mishra would be appointed DIB for one month and K P Singh OSD till his retirement.

Gupta is Director SAIL

R V Gupta former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India has been appointed a non-executive member of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL). He is a retired IAS officer of 1962 batch.

M P to have Police Commissioner system

The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has announced to introduce Police Commissioner system on an experimental basis. The system will be introduced in Indore and Bhopal soon. Announcement of the Chief Minister has amazed the IAS lobby.

Ganapati may be new DGP TN

Change of guards in Tamil Nadu has fuelled speculation about the fate of Director General of Police Raj Gopalan. The new Chief Minister Jayalalitha may appoint 1967 batch IPS officer Ganapati as the new DGP.

Two police officers join militants!

The Government has finally suspended a senior forest official in Orissa M Gaurinath. He was facing corruption charges.

IPS officer relieved

ADG Welfare and Sports Andhra Pradesh Swaranjit Sen has been relieved of his post . He has been kept under waiting following the alleged involvement of his wife in child adoption scandal. Only last week he was questioned by the state CID in this case.
