M K Shukla will be new Director Police Academy

The Government of India has appointed M K Shukla as the new Director National Police Academy Hyderabad.He is 1966 batch IPS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. Shukla will replace P V Rajgopal who is retiring this month end.T Madiyal of the Karnataka cadre and A Reddy of the Andhra Pradesh cadre were also in the run for the post.

Chennai Police Commissioner removed

The new Tamil Nadu Government has removed Police Commissioner Chennai P Kalimuthu and appointed Muthukaruppan in his place. State Intelligence Chief Alexander has been shifted as project director Tamil Nadu Police Academy.One police officer M Bala Chandran has also been removed with immediate effect.

Only few transfers will be effected in Assam

The new Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogai has decided not to effect large-scale transfers. He has also made it clear to his friends that he would not go for vindictive action against the officers.

Sahib Singh to replace Awasthy!

Grapevine has it that Sahib Singh is being appointed DG (News) Doordarshan. Senior Indian Information Service officer Sahib Singh is currently Chief of the DAVP in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.Harish Awasthy is the DG (News) Doordarshan.

Justice Fakhruddin shifted to Chhatisgarh

A judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court Justice Fakhruddin has been transferred to the Chhhatisgarh High Court.Currently he is posted in the Gwalior bench of the M P High Court.

Trusted IAS officers of Karunanidhi changed

Soon after taking over reins the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha has removed all the trusted IAS officers of her predecessor K Karunanidhi. All the officers have been put on compulsory wait. The IAS officers are: Ms Ashok Vardhan Shetty, T Ramaswamy, N Sundaradevan,K Rajamanickam, S Chandra Kumar, K Gopinathan, Irai Anbu and Dayanand Kataria.

19 officers get IAS in AP

Nineteen officers of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Service have been awarded IAS this year. Posting of these officers is to be made soon.

Lyngdoh to be next CEC

J M lyngdoh will be the next Chief Election Commissioner. He will succeed M S Gill whose tenure expires on June 12.Lyngdoh will remain CEC for another three years.
