Will Jayalalitha join NDA?

Grapevine has it that Jayalalitha may join the NDA.Political managers of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee have already sent feelers to the AIDMK Chief Jayalalitha to join the NDA and get rid of her corruption charges.If Jayalalitha allows 21 MPs of her party and allies to join the NDA,the present partner DMK with 11 MPs would be thrown out of the Government.

Raha appointed ONGC Chairman

The Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has cleared the appointment of Subir Raha as the Chairman of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission. Raha who is currently Director (Human Resource) in the Indian Oil Corporation is expected to take over new assignment in a day or two.The post has fallen vacant following the retirement of B C Bora in April .

Dinesh Vajpayee has been appointed new Director General of Police West Bengal.He was Police Commissioner Kolkata. The 1969 batch IPS officer Sujoy Chakraborty has been made new Commissioner Police Kolkata.

R C Sharma will be new Chief General Manager Chennai Circle. Ramchandra Rao from Chennai has been transferred to Hyderabad.N Gopal Krishnan CGM Lucknow has been shifted to Mumbai and Chandigarh Circle CGM Prabhakar Sharma would replace him. Rajendra Kackar will be the new CGM Chandigarh circle.

Sareen to be IG CRPF

H K Sareen has been appointed IG Central Reserve Police Force. He is 1975 batch IPS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. Sareen will be posted in J&K.

Mascarenhas and Mahan Bharat

Is the suspension of A-I MD Michael Mascarenhas something to do with the report of DIG rank Vigilance officer Mahan Bharat ?.Insiders said that Mahan Bharat had made some complaints of corruption by Mascarenhas to the higher ups. Though the 1985 batch IPS Officer Mahan Bharat had to face several hurdles , he did not succumb to any kind of pressure.

Yadav is new DGP Chhatisgarh

R L S Yadav has been appointed new Director General of Police Chhatisgarh. He is 1966 batch IPS officer. He will replace 1965 batch IPS officer S M Shukla who has been made Chairman of the Chhatisgarh Public Service Commission.
