Six Secretary level posts to be filled

Half a dozen Secretary level posts are to be filled in the Government of India next month. The Prime Ministers office is currently busy in the selection of officers. The posts held by following IAS officers will fall vacant : p shankar 1966 batch TN, B B Tandan 1965 Himachal Pradesh, K B Saxena 1964 Bihar, Achla Maulik 1964 Karnataka, Srinavasan Kerala 1965 and Piyush Mankad 1964 MP.

Rakesh Shrivastava to be JS Defence

Rakesh Shrivastava will be the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence. Name of 1981 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre has been cleared by the ACC.He is currently a Director in the same Ministry.

Will Kamal Taori be Chief Secretary Uttaranchal ?

Rumour Mill says that Kamal Taori will be the next Chief Secretary of Uttranchal.He is 1968 batch IAS officer of the Uttranchal cadre. The post has fallen vacant following the appointment of present Chief Secretary A V Singh to the Centre.He is going to head Defence Procurement Board in the Ministry of Defence.

Rangachari is getting threatning calls

Andhra Pradesh Special Chief Secretary C S Rangachari is under security cover these days. Rangachari who is probing nexus between Criminals and police officers has received several threatning calls . The Andhra Pradesh Government has taken a serious note about it.

Rajan is new Member Telecom

C V Rajan is the new Member Technology in the Telecom Commission. He has replaced Vijay Kumar after his retirement.

Shyamal Ghosh and Petroleum Ministry

Though the Media reports say that Telecom Secretary Shyamal Ghosh will be the next Petroleum Secretary, he is unlikely to make it.The Ministry may see a new face in place of P Shankar who is going to Tamil Nadu as Chief Secretary.

No Rajya Sabha for Brijesh Mishra

BJP circles have ruled out the possibility of Brijesh Mishras going to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. Political circles are agag with rumours of Prime Minister's Principal Secretary joining the active politics. Mishra is going to continue to his present post.

Narad in US

Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum Naresh Narad is currently on foreign visit. He has gone to the United States and Brazil. He will be back in the first week of June.
