Khatua is new Secretary Water Supply Maharastra

B C Khatua the outgoing Textile Commissioner of India is back to parent Maharastra cadre. 1976 batch IAS Officer Khatua, on his return has been made Secretary Water Supply.

'CAT'stays order in Prasar Bharti

Inter departmental rivalry caused three changes in the assignment of one senior Controller of Programmes Doordarshan T K Das.Fed up with three changes in three months forced Das to approach the 'CAT' to get justice. And, the 'CAT' ordered the Prasar Bharti not to make any further change. Now the acting DG Doordarshan Malakar who is author of these frequent changes is in a fix. Three months ago Das was incharge of National Programmes.Soon he was shunted to Sports and recently he was given orders to look after Kashmir Channel.

Kapoor is back to Haryana

V K Kapoor a senior IPS Officer who was on deputation to the Government of India is back to the parent Haryana cadre. He has been posted as ADG.

Jha permitted to take up research work

Nikhilesh Jha Private Secretary to Union Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie has been permitted by the Governor of Manipur Ved Marwah to take up research work at Centre for Public Policy and Governance New Delhi.Manipur-Tripura cadre 1984 batch IAS Officer Jha will be on this assignment for two years in continuation of his central deputation.

' New Maharaja ' in Gwalior

Believe it not one Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS Officer posted in Gwalior has arranged an AC and music system even for his pet dogs. One can find 10 air-conditioners, 8 music systems and 6 close circuit TV sets at his bungalow. This IAS Officer is considered close to Chief Minister Digvijay Singh.

Patil Promoted to CS rank in Karnataka

Karnataka Government has promoted 1966 batch IAS Officer B S Patil to the rank of Chief Secretary.Meanwhile 1969 batch IAS Officer Chiranjeevi Singh has been appointed Principal Secretary Finance.This post was earlier held by Gopal Reddy who has joined the Government of India.

Pirzada to stay in Punjab

The Government of India has allowed TamilNadu cadre 1982 batch IAS Officer Gur Nihal Singh Pirzada to complete his five-year tenure in Punjab. Earlier the GOI had ordered Pirzada to go back to the parent TamilNadu cadre.
