Pani to get extension

Deputy Election Commissioner S C Pani is set to get one year extension in his tenure. This will be his second extension.. Tenure of 1972 batch IAS Officer of Orissa cadre Pani is coming to an end on November 5.

Chaubey to replace A K Singh

Rajiv Nayan Chaubey will be Joint Secretary Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance. 1981 batch IAS Officer of TamilNadu cadre Chaubey is currently Director in the same Ministry.He will replace Madhya Pradesh cadre1972 batch IAS Officer A K Singh whose tenure is to expire early next month.

Singh and Raj not empanelled

Two 1979 batch IPS Officers Raj Deep Sing and Jagdish Raj have not been empanelled to the rank of IG in the Government of India. Raj Deep Singh and Jagdish Raj are currently serving the CRPF and SSB respectively. Some CR's of the two officers are said to be missing.

Padhipura to return

George Padhipura is returning to the parent cadre. He is currently IG in the CRPF. He is expected to be relieved in a week or two.

Pandey to be DG CEIB

A K Pandey has been appointed new Director-General of the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau.He will take over new assignment next month.

Sudha Pillai new PS Finance Kerala

Sudha Pillai has been appointed new Principal Secretary Finance in Kerala. She is 1972 batch IAS Officer.Sudha Pillai has replaced Vinod Rai who has gone on deputation to the Government of India.

IPS changes in UP

Ram Singh will be new SP Firozabad.D K Thakur and Rajkumar Aryan Kuril have been made SP's of Kanpur (Rural) and Shribasti respectively.N K Shrivastava has been shifted to Lucknow as SP CBCID. Anil Kumar will now be SP Regional Prosecution Office Lucknow.

IAS change in Uttranchal

Chandra Singh will be new Collector Paudi. Anand Vardhan present Collector Paudi has been made Additional Secretary PWD.

DGP's appointment challenged

A senior IPS Officer of the DG rank in Haryana Nirmal Singh has challenged the appointment of M S Malik as DGP in the CAT. Nirmal Singh who is senior to Malik has a point that the appointment of Malik is a violation of the IPS recruitment rules 1954.

Senior BSF Officers to go Lahore
