Joint Secretary,Rural Development in the Government of India Sudha Pillai is getting three months extension in her tenure. Tenure of Kerala cadre 1972 batch IAS Officer Sudha Pillai is coming to an end on October 7.

Roy is JS Food and Public Distribution

Sudipto Roy 1978 batch IAS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre has joined the Government of India as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution. He has replaced West Bengal cadre 1973 batch IAS Officer S C Brahma.

Oldest retired police officer in the country V G Kanetkar was felicitated in Pune on his entering 91st year of his life. Kanitkar had joined the then Indian Police Service in 1933.The felicitation function was attended by the former Union Home Secretary Madhav Godbole, former IB Chief V G Vaidya and former CBI Chief Mohan Katre.
