Saxena proceeds on leave

N C Saxena, senior most bureaucrat after Cabinet Secretary T R Prasad in the Government of India has proceeded on long leave early this week. Saxena who is 1964 batch IAS Officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre will not resume duties till his retirement in July next. He is Secretary in the Planning Commission.

No extension to Chhotray

The Government of India has decided not to grant extension to D D Chhotray, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.1971 batch IAS Officer of Orissa cadre, Chhotray has, however, been asked to continue till the new appointment.

The CBI has given clean chit to Additional Director General of Police B P Tiwari. The senior IPS officer had been charge of molesting a woman last year. Charges were not substantiated against Tiwari.
