Y S Bhave is the new Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information Technology.1972 batch IAS Officer of Maharastra cadre Bhave has replaced Punjab cadre Officer J S Maini who is now Resident Commissioner Punjab Bhawan in Delhi.

Secretaries' work but politicians get award

Promotion of two ministers of state,Arun Shourie and Shahnawaz Hussein was discussed at a cocktail party of the senior bureaucrats in Delhi.And the general consensus was that the secretaries' hard work always led to the promotion of politicians.

Will Shyamal Ghosh go?

Will Tele-communication Secretary Shyamal Ghosh be changed during the next bureaucratic reshuffle?.General belief is that, Ghosh blue eyed boy of the outgoing Tele-communication Minister Ram Vilas Paswan is sure to be changed. Those sitting in the Sanchar Bhawan, however, said that Ghosh has become quite pally with the new minister Pramod Mahajan.One can only wait and watch.

No extension to Kerala IAS Officer

The Kerala Government has asked Principal Secretary Registration Sukumar Ooomen to go back to the parent Manipur-Tripura cadre.1973 batch Mt cadre officer Oomen has been on deputation to the Kerala Government for five years. Meanwhile, all the charges have been dropped against him, which were framed by the previous LDF Government.

Reddy is new PS Registration

W R Reddy has been appointed Principal Secretary Registration in Kerala.He is 1986 batch IAS Officer.The department was earlier held by Sukumar Oomen.

CBI registers case on free rides in train

The CBI has registered case against officials of the Railways and the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation for giving free rides to 80 passengers on the Palace of Wheels train. In a raid conducted by the CBI some IAS Officers and journalists had been found travelling without ticket in the train.

CAT dismisses IPS Officers plea

The CAT has dismissed a request of an IPS Officer challenging the promotion of three Karnataka State Police Officers to the IPS on probation. AIG B N S Reddy had challenged the appointment of Sayed Ulfath Hussein, R S Harihar and B Shrikantappa.
