Basu is new CEO KVIC

Chinmay Basu is the new Chief Executive Officer Khadi and Village Industries Commission Mumbai.He is 1977 batch IAS Officer of Orissa cadre. He has replaced Maharastra cadre1972 batch IAS Officer R K Bhargava whose tenure has expired.

Case registered against Taimini

The CBI has registered a case against B K Taimini a former Secretary Food and Public Distribution in the Government of India for alleged involvement in a multi-crore-wheat import scam. He is 1964 batch retired Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS Officer. Similar case has also been registered against S M Diwan, the then Chairman of the State Trading Corporation.

Rakesh Agrawal joins NPA

Rakesh Agrawal has joined the National Police Academy Hyderabad as Research Scholar. He is 1994 batch IPS Officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre.

1980 batch IPS empanelment next month

Suggestion for setting up Investigation Bureau


A RBI Expert Committee headed by Dr N L Mitra has suggested setting up of a separate Investigation Bureau and a special court to investigate financial frauds in the country.
