Vivek Rai to be JS Culture

Vivek Rai is all set to join the Ministry of Culture as Joint Secretary in the Government of India. He is 1978 batch IAS Officer of UT cadre. The post has fallen vacant following the promotion of 1969 batch IAS Officer of West Bengal cadre Kasturi Gupta Menon.

Tele-communications and IT Ministry to merge

The Union Government is giving serious thoughts to merge the Information Technology Ministry with the Department of Tele-communications. Dynamic Pramod Mahajan is currently holding both the departments. A final decision in this regard is expected soon.

Pathania to be rewarded!

Member CBDT R K Pathania who is retiring in a couple of months is likely to be rewarded with the post of Settlement Commissioner.Atleast, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh knows the reason of Pathania's promotion.

Tripathi new judge Gujarat High Court

Justice Ravi Kumar Rameshwardayal Tripathi has been appointed regular judge of the Gujarat High Court.He was earlier additional judge in the same High Court.

Paswan in angry

Union Coal Minister Ramvilas Paswan is angry these days. He has shot a letter to the Defence Minister Jaswant Singh in protest against shifting of Army Services Corps from Gaya to Banglore.He is yet to hear in this matter from the Defence Minister.

CVC Recommends action against IAS Officer

The CVC N Vitthal has recommended imposition of major penalty against over one dozen IAS Officers in the country. No bribe in Haryana

Now one need not pay bribe in Haryana. The Haryana Government has directed all heads of department to display ' Please do not pay bribe to anyone'. The signboards would read" If any employee or officer asks for any illegal gratification, report the matter to the head of the office or department".

IAS changes in Chhatisgarh likely

A minor IAS Reshuffle is expected to take place in Chhatisgarh this month. About half a dozen IAS Officers are likely to be affected.
