War with Pakistan and Lok Sabha Polls!

Undue pains being taken by the two Union Ministers L K Advani and Yashwant Sinha in mentally preparing the nation for the hard days ahead have compelled the obersvers to think that the BJP may also opt for having a fresh mandate in the Lok Sabha alongwith the Vidhan Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.If that is the case it may not even hesitate to throw the country into a war with Pakistan. Any takers?.

Will she get post in Defence Ministry?

Will Pramila Issar,1972 batch IAS Officer of Haryana cadre adorn post in the National Defence College?It is doubtful that the undergoing efforts in this connection would bear positive results.Reason: husband and wife do have the privilege of being posted in Delhi but not under the same ministry.And, her husband Ranjit Issar who is also an IAS Officer of 1972 batch is already having his posting in the Defence Ministry.

Seven IPS Officers of 1987 batch have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Director in the Intelligence Bureau.They are: Ms Madan Mohan, Swagat Das,S K Bansal, V K Singh,Akshy Mishra, V K Bhavra and P Bharadwaj.

Goa Chief Secretary not empanelled

Chief Secretary of Goa Baleshwar Rai has failed to get himself empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. Grapevine has it that some CR's written by the then Delhi Chief Secretary T R Takkar have come in the way of empanelment of 1970 batch UT cadre IAS Officer.

CBDT Chief unlikely to get extension

Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT) O P Shrivastava is unlikely to get extension in service. He is superannuating in December.

High Court's directive-follow IPS rules

Kerala High Court has directed the Antony Government to strictly follow rule 8 and 9 of the IPS cadre rules in the matter of posting of officers in cadre posts.Rajesh Diwan an IPS Officer had gone to the court after having failed to get justice from the 'CAT'.
