Pipersenia to be FA HRD!

Vinod Kumar Pipersenia is being appointed Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.He is an IAS Officer of 1980 batch of Assam -Meghalaya cadre. Tenure of present incumbent Maharastra cadre 1976 batch IAS Officer Sanjay Narayan is coming to an end on October 31.

Puri to get DG rank in Maharastra

S S Puri is being promoted to the rank of Director General in Maharastra next month. He is 1967 batch IPS Officer.

No panel for the post of Textiles Commissioner

The Textile Ministry has so far not been able to send a panel for the post of Textiles Commissioner.The post has fallen vacant on September 12 following the expiry of tenure of 1976 batch Maharastra cadre IAS Officer B C Khatua.Had there been empanelment of 1982 batch, Tapan Ray would have been the choice of Textiles Minister Kanshiram Rana.

Srinivas to head new DD channel

The Prasar Bharti has decided to introduce a new News and Entertainment Channel .In all probability Deputy Director General Srinivas will head the channel.

Khan is Law Secretary Rajasthan

Bhavrun Khan has been appointed new Law Secretary in Rajasthan. He was earlier posted in the Jodhpur High Court.

Home to have new desk

Union Home Ministry will soon have a separate department of Border Management.A decision to this effect has already been taken and Finance Department is being asked to sanction additional posts for the same.

Army Col.arrested

Col. Ramesh Chander, Commandant Station Headquarters Simla has been arrested on charge of alleged rape with a 19-year-old girl. He has been remanded in police custody upto September 29.
