Changes in Finance Ministry this week!

Secretary level changes in the Ministry of Finance are expected to take place this week. In case Finance Secretary Ajit Kumar is moved to the Planning Commission, S Narayan or C M Vasudev will be appointed Secretary Finance. A couple of other names are also doing the round for the post..One thing is certain Narayan will not be disturbed from the Finance Ministry.

Jyotiraditya Scindia joins politics

Finally Jyotiraditya Scindia son of senior Congress leader Madhav Rao Scindia has plunged into politics. Only last week he attended several political functions in Gwalior. Now rumour mill says that Jyotiraditya will contest next Lok Sabha election from Guna Parliamentary Constituency.

IAS changes in Uttaranchal

Rajiv Joshi has been appointed DM Pithoragarh District.Joshi has come on deputation from the Manipur Tripura cadre. Tarkendra Vaishnava has been made DM Champavat. S K Maheshwari who was DM Champavat has been shifted to Uttar Kashi.

P S Mehra has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. He is 1987 batch IAS Officer.

Usha Chandra Shekhar to be Dy.Secretary Environment

Usha Chandra Shekhar is joining the Ministry of Forests and Environment, as Deputy Secretary.She is an officer of Indian Postal Service.

Chauhan is new DPR UP

Umesh Kumar Singh Chauhan has been appointed new Director of Information .1986 batch IAS Officer of Kerala cadre, Chauhan is on three years deputation to the Uttar Pradesh Government.He has replaced Umesh Sinha who has been transferred to the U P Administrative Academy as Additional Director.

Rangachari to be new Envoy to Germany

T C A Rangachari, Additional Secretary (UN) in the External Affairs Ministry is being appointed India's ambassador to Germany.A China specialist, Rangachari has also had a long stint in Islamabad.
