Confusion about 1967 batch IAS!

He is uncertain on whether to give postings to the four left over 1967 batch IAS Officers as Secretary in the GOI before the review of the same batch.Talk of the review for the empanelment to the rank of Secretary has been going on for the last three months.

CAT quashes 1966-IPS empanelment

The Banglore bench of 'CAT' has quashed the empanelment of 1966 batch IPS Officers in the Government of India.The 'CAT' has held the entire selection process of the empanelment as 'arbitrary and invalid'. Dr R Vishwanathan Karnataka cadre 1966 batch IPS Officer had gone to the 'CAT'against non-inclusion of his name in the list of empanelled officers. The 'CAT' has directed the GOI to include the name of Dr Vishwanathan in the list within four weeks saying that merit and seniority should be the criteria for empanelment.
