1982 batch IAS Officers empanelment this month

Empanelment of 1982 batch IAS Officers to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India is going to take place this month.Empanelment has been delayed because of the intervention of the PMO. Now latest information says that about 55 officers of this batch are sure to be empanelled.

Hooja not to get further extension

Meenakshi Hooja 1975 batch IAS Officer of Rajasthan cadre is returning to the parent cadre in November. Ms Hooja who is Chief of National Defence College, New Delhi is currently on three months extension.Defence Ministry has refused to grant further extension in her tenure.

Fresh panel to be prepared

A fresh panel is being prepared by the Ministry of Company Affairs for the post of Joint Secretary. Earlier panel has been rejected by the ACC.

Desai appointed Member Disinvestment Commission

V V Desai has been appointed Member of the Disinvestment Commission. He is a former Director and Chief Economist at Asian Development Bank, Manila.

IPS reshuffle in Karnataka

Senior level IPS changes have taken place in Karnataka.P S Ramanujam DG (Intelligence) has been shifted to Economic Offences and Training wing.B N Nagraj will be new Joint Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Banglore.B G Jyotiprakash Mirji has been made Additional Commissioner (Crime) Banglore.R Vishwanathan and S Srikumar will be Chairman and Managaing Director of Karnataka Police Housing Corporation respectively.

IAS changes in Haryana

Deepa Jain Singh will be new Secretary and Financial Commissioner Child and Woman Welfare.Rajni Sekhri Sibal has been appointed Joint Secretary Finance. S P Gupta has been made Joint Secretary Power Reforms.

IAS Officer questioned

Principal Secretary Higher Education in Kerala K Mohandas has been questioned by the police in leakage of cabinet notes. He is 1974 batch IAS Officer. Earlier an another IAS Officer Alphons Kannanthaman had also been questioned in the same case.

Baijal gets additional charge

Secretary Disinvestment Pradip Baijal has been given additional charge of the newly constituted Department of Development of North-East region. He is 1966 batch IAS Officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.

Anand also gets additional charge

Secretary Small Scale Industries Vishwanathan Anand has also been given additional charge as Secretary of the newly created Ministry of Agriculture and Rural-based Industries. He is 1965 batch IAS Officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.
