C M Vasudev or Kamal Pande ?

Union Home Secretary Kamal Pande and Finance Secretary C M Vasudev are said to be in the race for the prestigious posts of Executive Director in IMF and World Bank.Two posts would fall vacant in June when tenure of B P Singh and Vijay Kelkar ends. Chances are that one of them will make it because both of them belongs to one Uttar Pradesh cadre. Defence Secretary Yogendra Narain is also said to be eyeing for one of the posts.

Will Dipankar Basu get a change ?

Grapevine has it that Secretary Coordination in the Government of India ,Dipankar Basu is being shifted to some other Ministry.Basu who is 1966 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre is scheduled to superannuate in October next.

Singh not joining NPA

P P Singh is not joining the National Police Academy Hyderabad. Earlier the name of 1984 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre Singh had been approved .

Basu to join BSF

B B Basu is all set to join the Border Security Force (BSF). He is 1983 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre.

S C Tripathy to join today

Sushil Chandra Tripathy is joining the Ministry of HRD as Secretary Elementary Education on Friday.He is the first IAS officer of 1968 batch to have been promoted to the rank of Secretary.

S K Bhagat has been appointed DIG Kumaun.Prabhat Kumar Joshi will be DIG Personnel.Ajay Kumar has been shifted to PHQ. Several SPs' have also been changed.
