Empanelment of 1970 batch IPS

IPS officers of 1970 batch have been empanelled to the rank of Additional Director General in the Government of India. Altogether 17 officers of this batch are reported to have been empanelled.

Meenakshi Dutta Ghosh to join Health Ministry !

Grapevine has it that Meenakshi Dutta Ghosh is joining the Ministry of Health in Government of India as Additional Secretary. She is 1970 batch IAS officer of UT cadre.Name of Bihar cadre 1969 batch IAS officer Radha Singh is also in circulation for the post.Radha Singh is currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources.

New PCCF post in MP

A new post of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest is being created in Madhya Pradesh. Senior IFS officer Mohammad Hashim is likely to to appointed to the post.

If reports are to be believed there are 30 Officers of Indian Information service on Deputation as Deputy Secretary andDirector in Government of India.Over half a dozen officers of this service are still trying for deputation.

Meenakshi Sunderam to join Space Commission !

S S Meenakshi Sunderam is likely to be appointed Member (Finance) Space Commission Bangalore.Meenakshi Sunderam who is 1968 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre has been empanelled to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India. Earlier the name of Special Secretary Power Srinivasan Prabhakaran 1967 batch IAS officer of Maharastra cadre was in circulation.

Rao unlikely to get extension

Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Pingali Vishveshwar Rao is unlikely to get extension. The Andhra Pradesh Government has recommended six months extension to 1964 batch IAS officer Rao.The GoI has not received this proposal favourably.

Ranjan Chatterjee to join ITPO

Ranjan Chatterjee will take over as ED ITPO on May 1.He is 1976 batch IAS officer of Assam-Mehghalay cadre. Chatterjee would replace K T Chacko who is back to parent cadre of Madhya Pradesh after completion of his tenure.

Punjabi Varsity VC sacked

Governor Punjab J.F.R.Jacob who is also Chancellor of universities in the Punjab has sacked Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia ,Vice Chancellor of the Punjabi University Patiala.A recommendation to this effect was made by S.K. Sinha Principal Secretary to Punjab CM, Capt.Amrinder Singh.He was appointed during the regime of Akali Dal Government led by Prakash Singh Badal.Among other things Ahluwalia faced charge of misbehaving with a girl student and an attempt to murder.

Minor IAS reshuffle in MP

Rajneesh Vaish Director (Rehabilitation)in Narmada Valley Development Authority(NVDA) who so sar was posted at headquarter in Bhopal has been shifted in the capacity to Indore.S.D.Agrawal and G.K.Shrivastava Deputy Secretaries to the MP Governor have been promoted as Additional Secretaries without any change in their postings.Ms.Smita Ghate on her return from deputation has assumed the charge of Deputy Secretary GAD.
