Why did Executive Director IMF Vijay Kelkar meet senior officials in the PMO during his recent Delhi visit ? Does his meeting have something to do with the post of Governor Reserve Bank of
India ? Tenure of Kelkar in Washington is coming to an end in July.

Is 10 Janpath a "slaughter house?"

The much sought after residence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi is no longer the "Mecca" for Chief Ministers of Congress ruled states. As the grapevine has it they afraid of frequenting the 10, Janpath.They started describing it as a "slaughter house." Changes in IB this month

Grapevine has it that the PMO has asked for the inclusion of name of NTPC Chairman R P Singh.There is neither confirmation nor denial. Formal announcement of the new Power Secretary is expected to be made in a couple of days.

Bal Anand has been appointed India,s High Commissioner to New Zealand.Currently he is India,s ambassador to Armenia.Anand would replace S Kipgen who is joining the Ministry of External Affairs.
