Altogether 33 IAS officers empanelled

Finally the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, has cleared the empanelment of 33 IAS officers belonging to 1971 batch to the rank of Additional Secretary in Government of India. Those reportedly empanelled include Messers Ashok Saikia, Dr D N Das, V Subramaniam,, Neeru Nanda, R N Swamy, S K Arora , Dr J Sridhar Sharma, Dev Das Chhotray,Sudhir Mankad, R N Das, S Y Qureshi, Ashok Kumar Mohapatra, K P Singh, Lijji Jacob, , Sudip Banerjee, D S Mathur, G S Sahni, A K Dua, Chitra Zutshi, M Damodaran, Meena Gupta, Amitabh Pande, Surendra Kumar, M S Srinivasan, Harish Chandra Gupta, , Madhukar Gupta, Sheel Bhadra Banerjee, Dr Renuka Vishwanathan. Satwant Reddy,Sarjeet Singh Parmar, P L Punia,Pradip Bhattcharya, Gauri Chatterjee and A K Deb.

IAS officer seeks voluntary retirement

Jharkhand cadre 1973 batch IAS officer, Shankar Prasad, has sought voluntary retirement. Prasad who is currently Director General of Shri Krishna Administrative Training Institute Ranchi had been feeling neglected for quite some time.

Manoj Kumar empanelled

Manoj Kumar has been empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary in Government of India during the last review meeting. He is 1970 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.

K K Kashyap 1969 batch IPS officer of Maharastra cadre and A K Mitra 1970 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre have been appointed new ADG,s in the Border Security Force (BSF).

Bob is Director Petroleum

Busy Sam Bob has joined as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum . He is 1983 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre. Earlier he had served as Secretary to the late Speaker of the Lok Babha Balyogi.

S C Sinha is joining the CBI as a Joint Director next week. 1975 batch IPS officer of Haryana cadre Sinha is currently Chief of Vigilance BHEL.

Paliwal is JS North-East

Hari Krishna Paliwal jas joined the Government of India as Joint Secretary North-East Affairs. He is 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.

IPS unity !

Highly administrative circles are surprised over the fact that why no IPS officer of RK Sharma's batch has tried to help him out. Sharma is 1976 batch Haryana cadre IPS and his bad luck is that there are hardly one or two IPS of this batch in Delhi. One of his batch mate reportedly told a gathering that had he been there, he would have certainly tried some way to bail him out.
