Tenure of A K Chugh Financial Commissioner ESIC in the Ministry of Labour has expired. He is 1974 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre.

Indian bureaucracy is the worst

A survey conducted by Singapore's Political and Economic Risk Consultancy has come out with a conclusion which majority bureaucrats in India may not like to believe. The survey says that the bureaucracy of Singapore and Hong Kong is the best in Asia while it is the worst in India and vietnam.
The survey has been based on the comments of the business community of 13 Asian countries.

Censor Board for TV Serials

One thing that is being asked in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, these days, is whether there would be a separate Censor Board for TV Serials. A proposal to this effect has been received by the Ministry but will it fructify ?

Jharakhand IPS cite example of Chhattisgarh

IPS in the newly carved out state of Jharkhand have pointed out to their government that while the 1984 batch IPS have been made IG in the other newly created state of Chhattisgarh, in their case 1985 batch IPS are not even the DIGs. They have asked the government to emulate the example of chhattisgarh in their case.

New VC for Hyderabad University HYDERABAD

Padamree Dr.Kota Harinarayana Director Light Combat Aircraft(LCA) has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the Hyderabad Central University of Hyderabad by the President of India.Dr.Harinarayan who is an aeronautical engineer succeeeds Dr P. Rama Rao who retired on June 30 .


Chhattisgarh govt. promotes two IAS as ACS

The Chhattisgarh government has promoted two IAS officers of 1969 batch as Additional Chief Secretaries (ACS). They are A.K.Vijayvargiya ACS Jail, Home and Transport and Mrs.Indira Mishra ACS Village Industries.


Two new High Court judges in MP, Delhi

Two new additional judges in High Courts of Delhi and Madhya Pradesh have been appointed. They are Haribaksh Rai Malhotra -Delhi and Akhil Kumar Shrivastava---Madhya Pradesh.Their appointment would be effective for two years from the date of their assuming charge.
