Secretary level changes this week !

A minor secretary level change in the Government of India is expected to take place this week. The Ministry of Steel, Sports and Information Technology may have new Secretaries.1968 batch IAS officers are likely to occupy these positions.

Mitra is DG Civil Aviation

SPG Chief, T K Mitra, will be new DG Bureau of Civil Aviations. 1968 batch West Bengal cadre IPS officer Mitra would succeed Veeranna Aivalli who expired early this month.

N N Khanna to be Secretary Planning Commission !

Secretary Steel in the Government of India, N N Khanna, is likely to be made Secretary Planning Commission. He is 1966 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre. The post is falling vacant following the appointment of P Shankar as CVC.

Former DGP of Punjab Sarabjeet Singh is being tipped to be DG of the CISF. 1965 batch Punjab cadre IPS officer is to succeed H J Dora who has been appointed Vigilance Commissioner.

Uttar Pradesh Governer Vishnu Kant Shastri or Sikkim Governor Kedar Nath Sahni will replace Assam Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha whose term of office is coming to an end on September 30.
